About Bus Passes

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District will continue to offer a district-subsidized program for students wishing to use home-to-school bus transportation for the 2009-2010 school year.  Students must possess a bus pass before boarding school buses.  Please read these instructions thoroughly for information regarding the issuance of bus passes.  In order for a student to receive a pass, a current application must be completed each year.

The Bus Pass Office will issue new bus passes throughout the summer months.  To avoid long lines, you are encouraged to request your pass(es) by mail.  New passes will be sent to the school sites to be distributed to the students.

During the year, if a replacement pass is needed, a $5 replacement fee will be assessed. Use of the original bus pass will be disabled and confiscated if found. (Exception:  Limited-use punch card bus passes are not replaceable, refundable or exchangeable).

Refunds will only be provided for unused bus passes when a student moves out of the school district.     Refunds will not be made for loss of service due to disciplinary reasons.  Limited-use punch card bus passes are not replaceable, refundable or exchangeable.  No other refunds are considered.

Families may apply in person or mail to:
