The Center on the Social-Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) Strategies
The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL), at Vanderbilt University, is focused on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5 with research-based strategies. All of our N-MUSD Preschool Staff have been trained in the CSEFEL strategies for preschool classrooms. These strategies address: Building Relationships and Creating Supportive Preschool Classroom Environments; Embedding Opportunities to Build Friendships into Daily Routines; Using Children's Literature to Support Social-Emotional Development; Helping Children Learn to Share; Helping Young Children Control Anger and Handle Disappointments; and Observing and Addressing Challenging Behaviors.
