Online Drivers Education

Online Driver's Education

Online Driver’s Education-

Registration is now at capacity for the fall course.  We will offer another course in the spring of 2018.

The online course accommodates 150 students and the course will begin after 3:00 pm on  November 20, through  3:00 pm on December 15, 2017.

The State of California requires 30 hours studying Drivers Education before a learners permit is obtained. This online driver education course lets you study at their own pace, on their schedule, any time of the day or night. This course sets the foundation for behind-the-wheel Driver’s Training and is in accordance with the guidelines set by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.  Upon successful completion, students will receive a DMV- approved certificate of completion. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District does not offer Driver Training, otherwise known as behind-the-wheel instruction. Students may begin taking the course on Monday, November 20,  and must complete the course by December 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm.   All students must be 15 years or older on the day the course starts and have internet access to enroll.  All communication related to this program will be delivered by email.

VERY IMPORTANT! All students must have opted to agree to the Student Use of Technology Agreement during the registration process to access the class content. This can still be done on your school’s registration page.
