Online Driver's Education

Online Driver’s Education- Registration is full and closed. If you have enrolled in the course please read your confirmation page regarding starting the course on March 7, 2017 after 3:00 pm. Class will  end on April 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm.

The State of California requires you to spend 30 hours studying Drivers Education before you can get your learners permit. This online driver education course lets you study at your own pace, on your schedule, any time of the day or night. This course sets the foundation for behind-the-wheel Driver’s Training and is in accordance with the guidelines set by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Each course accommodates 150 students for registration. The course is offered two times a year. Upon successful completion, students will receive a DMV- approved certificate of completion. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District does not offer Driver Training, otherwise known as behind-the-wheel instruction. Class will begin on March 7, 2017 after 3:00 pm and end on April 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm.

All students must be 15 years or older on the day the course starts and have internet access to enroll.  All communication will be delivered by email.

VERY IMPORTANT! All students must have opted to agree to the Student Use of Technology Agreement during the registration process to access the class content. This can still be done on your school’s registration page. Questions contact: trussell@nmusd.us
