According to the National Institute for Early Education Research, preschool presents an ideal opportunity to expand children's education in math and science as we capitalize on children's innate interest in these areas of learning.  At Davis Magnet Preschool (located at the Davis Magnet School), we provide a comprehensive preschool program.  We immerse children with age-appropriate and exciting explorations in science, math, and technology, as well as provide research-based literacy instruction, activities that promote healthy social-emotional and physical development, and experiences with the fine arts.  The Davis Magnet Preschool curriculum is aligned with the Davis Magnet Kindergarten curriculum, to provide a smooth transition into the enriched kindergarten program provided by N-MUSD.

Davis Magnet Preschool operates separately from Davis Magnet School, and enrollment in the preschool program does not guarantee admission to Davis Magnet. Davis Magnet Preschool families who are interested in continuing at Davis for kindergarten will need to follow established Davis Magnet application protocol, and will not be given priority over other applications.
