Community Service Program

All students attending high school in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District must complete 40 hours of Community Service with a non-profit organization to fulfill the high school graduation requirement. It is recommended that high school students complete 10 hours per year to ensure completion of the Community Service Graduation Requirement.

Community Service activities assist students through:

  • Increased student engagement/academic achievement
  • Improved character and social behavior
  • Exposure to new careers and organizations in the community.
