State of Secondary Education
Over the past five years, the Board of Education has given specific direction to continually improve student academic achievement as measured by several indicators. Our Secondary Schools have demonstrated exceptional student performance and participation in areas such the Academic Performance Index, Advance Placement Exam, Scholastic Aptitude Test, California High School Exit Exam and Graduation Rates. These efforts have been recognized in national publications such as Washington Post (formerly Newsweek Magazine)and individual schools have been recognized by the State of California.
