FAQs

Q: How do I sign up for Tech Skills for Classified?

A: Visit http://www.nmusd.us/signup and enroll in as many sessions as you like.

Q: How much Professional Growth Credit will I earn in Tech Skills for Classified?

A: You will earn credit for proctored time in the lab using CustomGuide and/or Atomic Learning. You are welcome to arrive late or leave early, but you will only receive credit for your time in the lab.

Q: Can I use CustomGuide even if I am not participating in a Tech Skills for Classified class?

A: Yes, even though you will not earn Professional Growth Credit, you are encouraged to use CustomGuide and Atomic Learning to continue your learning. However, do not try to access CustomGuide on weekdays from 3:30pm-6:30pm as we will have other district staff using CustomGuide in Tech Skills for Classified classes.

Q: Will my CustomGuide account expire?

A: It shouldn’t. As long as NMUSD has licenses with CustomGuide and you don’t try to access CustomGuide weekdays between 3:30pm and 6:30pm, your account will remain active.

Q: What happens if I try to access CustomGuide weekdays between 3:30pm and 6:30pm?

A: NMUSD has limited concurrent licenses for CustomGuide. When you login to CustomGuide, you are taking up one of the training “seats”. Since we need to have those “seats” available to participants in the Tech Skills for Classified classes, we will need to deactivate your account to make it available.
