The California School Public Relations Association recognized the district with five communications awards for excellence in engaging and informing the community through strategic public relations campaigns, social media, and storytelling.

The district offers summer programs to current ninth- through 11th-grade students, as well as bridge programs to incoming seventh- and ninth-graders.
The Summer Scholars Academy will be provided from June 23-July 18, 2025.

In partnership with Hoag Memorial Hospital and the University of California, Irvine's Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, Davis Magnet School held its annual Medical Residency Day, giving sixth-grade students the opportunity for hands-on learning.
