Freight Delivery/Stores Orders
BusinessPlus (Stores) orders are processed on a daily basis to meet the delivery schedule (see below). A two-day lead time is required to maintain the delivery schedule. Orders placed the same day or the day previous to the scheduled delivery date will not be delivered until the following week. You are welcome to “will call” the items from the District Warehouse but a two-day lead time is still required in order to properly process your order. Please bear in mind that an order entered today, does not necessarily print in the warehouse immediately (due to the approval process). Before checking status on an order, please make sure your order request has traveled completely through your approval process and has actually reached the Warehouse for our processing.
All orders should be checked for accuracy before recipient provides a signature. Once the delivery has been signed for and the driver has left, the ability to reconcile any discrepancy is difficult. Any items needing to be returned to the Warehouse should be approved through the Purchasing Department prior to its return.
The following schedule has been created for site deliveries. This schedule is for Stores Orders as well as normal outside vendor receipts. If you have any questions call the District Warehouse at ext. 5075. Deliveries will be made between 11:30 am - 2:00 pm on your assigned day.
* All freight/stores orders are to be dropped at the site’s MPR to ensure efficient receipt of goods. To effectively deliver to all school sites in a timely matter, there is only one drop site per school for freight deliveries/stores orders. Signature(s) is required upon delivery.
