State Testing Results

Beginning in 2020-2021, student score reports for state tests will no longer be mailed to parents/guardians. Scores can now be accessed electronically through the Aeries Parent Portal on any device connected to the internet, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone. If you are not able to view the report online, you can ask for a copy at the front office of your child’s school.

Missing Scores: If your child’s scores do not appear in Aeries Parent Portal, your child may not have participated in the assessment or the state may still be processing their results. Parents/Guardians will receive an automated e-mail from DoNotReply@aeries.com when their child’s state test scores become available.

1. Log in to the Aeries Parent Portal.
2. Select Test Scores → State Test Scores Reports
3. Select the assessment and year for which you would like to view your child’s state test score report. (Please Note: The language listed on the score report button(s) refers to the language the report is written in, and not the subject being assessed. Math and English Language Arts scores are both available in the same CAASPP student score report.)
4. To download or print the report, click the download arrow or the printer icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

What if I don’t have access to a desktop computer?

You can view your student’s score report through the parent portal on any device connected to the internet, such as a computer, tablet, or smart phone. Log into the Aeries Parent Portal on your device to view the report. We understand that not all families will be able to access the Student Score Reports in this way.

We understand that not everybody has access to a computer to view the Student Score Report. If you are not able to view your student’s score online, please contact ElectronicScores@nmusd.us.

Is my child’s information secure if it’s online?

Yes, the Student Score Reports are secure because they can be accessed only through Aeries Parent Portal, which requires a username and password to access.

Will I get scores faster?

Yes, you will be able to view your child’s score report online earlier than in the past. In the past, Student Score Reports had to be printed and mailed, which caused a delay. This year, you can view the report online as soon as it is available.

Can I still get a paper copy?

Student Score Reports dating back three years will be available in the Aeries Parent Portal, so you can always go back and print them.

Is the electronic score report accessible to parents with disabilities?

Yes. All Student Score Reports are screen readable and provide adequate color contrast.

Will the report be available in my home language?

The electronic Student Score Reports will be available in English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino. In the future, they will be translated into other languages.

You can find information to help you understand your child’s score report at the Starting Smarter CAASPP website and Starting Smarter ELPAC website, where you also can find sample test questions and free resources to help support your child’s learning.
