CaliforniaColleges.edu

Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) plans to pilot the CaliforniaColleges.edu college and career readiness web-based platform, which is a component of the state’s initiative to help students and their families plan for, apply to, and pay for college. It also helps streamline the college and financial aid application process and monitor the status of college and financial aid applications.

These resources are available when students’ transcript data, such as demographics, class courses, grades and GPA, are uploaded into the statewide system (in accordance with all state and federal student privacy laws).

Should you wish to opt-out from the district’s disclosure of your Student Information, please complete and submit the opt-out form to your child’s school’s counseling office by March 3, 2023. Opting out will remove your student’s access to CaliforniaColleges.edu’s transcript-informed functionality and application integration.
