College and Career Fair
The 2024-25 College and Career Fair took place at the OC Fair and Event Center on October 16, 2024.
Open to all students and their families, the annual College & Career Fair provided attendees with opportunities to learn about college and technical programs, financial assistance, military, and other civic-minded post-secondary options.
New this year was a Pathway Playground, where students in elementary and middle schools were invited to explore their interests through NMUSD’s science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) programs and learn how those interests could lead to professional careers.
Representatives from more than 50 four-year colleges and universities, 25 two-year colleges and trade schools, and all branches of the Armed Services were available for questions from attendees. Students met with exhibitors representing more than 30 business and industry partners in dental, construction, finance, arts, and other professional fields.
More than 25 community organizations offered information on volunteer opportunities, academic coaching, scholarships, and more. Students and their families were also invited to attend workshop presentations on dual enrollment, NCAA eligibility, and scholarships, securing financial aid for post-secondary education, and engaging youth in conversations about career options.
