CTE Pathways
A Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway is a specialized sequence of courses designed to bridge the gap between high school and your future career. By diving into a specific industry sector, students gain the hands-on skills and academic foundation needed to excel in post-secondary education and the workforce.
Students who successfully complete their pathway sequence are recognized as CTE Pathway Completers. Along with specialized skills, completers are eligible to apply for the CTE Medallion to wear with pride at their graduation ceremony.
To learn more about the CTE pathways offered in NMUSD high schools please check out our pathway flyer, the video links below, and/or visit our pathway pages linked in the navigation bar to the left.

All students within Newport-Mesa also have the opportunity to complete CTE courses and pathways after school through Coastline ROP. Many of these courses are offered at sites within NMUSD, while others are offered in at sites within our partner districts of Irvine, Tustin, & Saddleback.

At the middle school level, students can engage with exploratory CTE elective courses. These courses allow students to sample various industry sectors, providing a foundation for informed pathway selection in high school.
