Transitional Kindergarten

Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers a Transitional Kindergarten program. Transitional Kindergarten is the first year of a two-year program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.  

For the 2024-2025 school year, your child is eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten if his/her birthdate falls between:

  • September 2, 2019 to June 2, 2020
