Mandarin Chinese is the mother tongue of more than 800 million people, making it the most widely spoken first language in the world. There are multiple educational and career benefits that multilingual students accrue, including:

  • Academic Achievement: Students attain high levels of academic achievement in both languages due to increased cognitive skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Bilingualism & Biliteracy: Students acquire strategic thinking, listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiency in English and Mandarin.

The Spanish Dual Immersion Program emphasizes and fosters the acquisition of English and Spanish. Our Program prepares students to succeed in a global economy by giving students the skills that the future demands. There are multiple educational and career benefits that multilingual students accrue, including:

Applying to Dual Immersions Programs:

The application process is currently for incoming Kindergarten students.  Students in other grades must contact the school office directly.

  • The application window for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on February 15.
  • The priority application window is February 15-April 15.  If applications meet or exceed capacity, a lottery processed will be used to select students.
  • The late application window opens April 16.  If classroom space is available, any available space will be filled based upon the order that the applications were received during the late application window.
  • Current College Park/Whittier siblings must apply for the program.
  • Current College Park/Whittier preschool students must apply for the program.
  • Parents receive notification of acceptance after May 1.
