Open to currently enrolled TK-5 grade current NMUSD students
Morning-Only
- 7:30-8:30 am: Optional Breakfast & Activities
- 8:30 am-12:30 pm: Academics, enrichment, & lunch provided
- Pick-up @ 12:30 pm
Extended Full-day
Students must attend the morning session to be eligible for extended full-day.

- 12:30-4:30 pm: Music, Drama, Visual Arts, PE, STEM, & Snack Provided
- Grades K-3 will experience a rotation of enrichment
- Grades 4 & 5 will select their enrichment specialty
- Pick-up @ 4:30 pm
- Transportation available for extended full-day program.
All students will be assigned to a summer site at or near their home school.

All content areas: bridge programs, credit recovery, and initial credit

1. What are the NMUSD Elementary Summer Program options for 2023?
Elementary Summer Programs will be provided from July 5 - August 1. Families may
select morning only or full-day programming

2. What grade levels will be served in the Elementary Summer Programs?
Students who are currently enrolled in NMUSD TK through 5th grade classrooms in the 2022-23 school year are eligible to attend the Elementary Summer Programs.
Students who are currently enrolled in the 6th grade will have opportunities to participate in programs at the middle schools.
3. What time are the Summer Programs?

4. My student will be enrolling at NMUSD in the fall for the 2023-24 School Year. Can they sign up?
No, the 2023 elementary summer programs are only available to students who attended NMUSD schools in grades TK through 5th grade in the 2022-23 school year.
5. What is the cost to attend the Summer Programs?
All summer programs are offered at no cost.
6. Is transportation provided?
Transportation may be provided for students who meet certain criteria and qualify under current guidelines and bus zones. Pick up locations will be posted prior to the start of the Summer Program. Non-fee-based busing only applies during the 2023 Summer Session. Parents will receive transportation information closer to the start date of the program.
7. Will lunch be provided?
Yes, lunch will be provided at no charge. Parents are also welcome to send a packed lunch with their child.
8. What does my child need to bring?
We encourage students to bring a refillable water bottle each day and wear sunscreen (as some activities will be outdoors). All instructional materials for the summer program will be provided.
