Angels shortstop Zach Neto and SportsLodge host Roger Lodge visited the students and staff of College Park Elementary

Each year, the Angels Baseball Foundation works with the Orange County Department of Education and Orange County Waste and Recycling to identify five local elementary schools with a commitment to green initiatives that support waste-diversion education among teachers, students, and families.​ College Park is the second NMUSD school selected for the honor in the program’s 17-year history.

Students from Whittier Elementary's after-school Cooking Enrichment Class were given a tour of Newport Harbor High School before collaborating with senior students to create a sweet treat in the school's Culinary Kitchen. Newport Harbor students gained a leadership opportunity while helping to build Whittier students’ confidence in the kitchen.

The data science curriculum at NMUSD is designed to motivate students to be actively engaged with math. During the eight-unit course, students develop an understanding of data analysis, sampling, correlation and causation, bias and uncertainty, modeling with data, making and evaluating data-based arguments, and the importance of data in society.
