The Maintenance and Operations team is responsible for maintaining district facilities and carrying out daily operations to provide a solid base for student success. During the summer of 2023, the team will completing a multitude of projects.
The Careers With Children Internship program gives Costa Mesa High School students the opportunity to work directly with preschool and TK students in the district.

Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) announces the appointments of Christy Flores as Director of Engagement, Partnership and Expanded Learning; Stacy De Boom-Howard as Principal of Davis Magnet School; Dr. Joe Erven as Principal of Adams Elementary School; and Dr. Jason Kuncewicki as Principal of California Elementary.
Davis Magnet School’s PAL Program was recognized by the Orange County Department of Education as outstanding. Davis is the only elementary school in Orange County to receive this award.
The Los Angeles Angels Baseball Foundation awarded six NMUSD seniors with full scholarships to the schools of their choice. Also, one eighth grader received a $10,000 scholarship. All students are active in the AVID programs at their schools.
At its May 16 meeting, the NMUSD Board of Education recognized seven high school seniors who exemplify a pillar of leadership.
Corona Del Mar High School senior Sophia Rabin was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
