Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) invites you to review the Districtwide Facility Master Plan (FMP). The FMP was developed in collaboration with facility experts, school and district leadership, and consideration of community input.

The FMP is an overview of proposed projects for the District's long-term facility needs. Potential future projects will be prioritized by the NMUSD Board of Education.

The Facility Master Plan Website includes an overview and background of the process, as well as details for each school and district facility.

    • If you scroll to the bottom of the Facility Master Plan Website there is a section titled “Find My School,” click on the school name listing under the map.

    • Once you click on a school or District facility there are various tabs:

      • Community Feedback - A recap of community feedback specific to the school or District facility.

      • Student Demographics - Overview of student demographics specific to the school or District facility.

      • Master Plan - Includes an aerial graphic with a brief overview of proposed projects.

      • Scenario Builder - Includes an aerial graphic with additional information for each of the proposed projects identified in the master plan. Click on colored sections of the map to view project information, including estimated costs, and potential timeframes.

      • Modernization Eligibility - This section represents which schools may be potentially eligible for state funds for future projects.

    • The map legends for the Master Plan and Scenario Builder sections use color categories to describe types of improvements.

      • Lavender/Purple: Major Modernization - More extensive renovation of spaces to include all minor modernization work with additional renovation/reconfiguration or adaptive reuse of spaces to accommodate new/different uses.

      • Orange: New Construction - Construction that increases or replaces an existing building; potentially adding square footage to the campus.
