Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) provides students with a robust, well-rounded, quality education from elementary through high school to prepare them for future success. This effort is supported by ongoing upgrades to learning environments. See below for highlights of summer facility upgrades our maintenance teams completed in preparation for the start of school.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Adams: Completed asphalt maintenance (added seal coat and replaced striping).

California: Installed new carpet and vinyl plank flooring throughout the school.

College Park: Completed asphalt replacement of play area; poured concrete pad and installed new storage containers.

Davis Magnet: Added exterior waterproofing to various classrooms.

Eastbluff: Completed fire alarm modernization and roof replacement.

Harbor View: Repainted all exterior school buildings; added waterproofing to Kindergarten building exterior; added new paint, electrical conduits, and fabric sound panels inside multipurpose room.

Lincoln: Completed asphalt maintenance (added seal coat and replaced striping).

Newport: Completed asphalt maintenance (filled and repaired cracks, added seal coat, and replaced striping).

Newport Heights: Completed asphalt maintenance; patched planters.

Pomona: Completed asphalt replacement in all parking lots and play areas; replaced front parking lot fence and gates.

Rea: Replaced ceiling grid, lights, and tiles in kitchen.

Sonora: Completed asphalt replacement in all parking lots and play areas; poured concrete pad and installed new storage containers.

Victoria: Replaced the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in the administration building, as well as buildings 1-6.

Wilson: Installed new carpet and vinyl plank flooring throughout the school; completed roof replacement; installed new field irrigation system.

Woodland: Installed new carpet and vinyl plank flooring throughout the school.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Back Bay: Repainted all exterior school buildings.

Corona del Mar: Completed asphalt maintenance (added seal coat and repainted striping and curbs); installed sports cameras to record games in gyms and on the soccer field; large gym interior and lockers were repainted; installed plumbing drain in the courtyard.

Costa Mesa: Installed sports cameras to record games in gyms and on football and soccer fields; added safety cables to middle school exit gates.

Early College: Completed asphalt replacement in all parking lots and blacktop areas; poured concrete pad and installed new storage containers.

Ensign: Completed asphalt maintenance (added seal coat and replaced striping); installed new field Irrigation system.

Estancia: Completed asphalt replacement of back parking lot and PE area; added concrete paving at drop-off lot at the front of the school and trash enclosure; repaired and extended concrete at bike rack area; installed sports cameras to record games in gyms and on football and soccer fields; poured concrete pads for district storage containers; added striping throughout concrete and asphalt areas, including basketball courts; prepped and painted interior walls in anticipation of new graphics..

Monte Vista Independent Study/Presidio Campus: Replaced perimeter fence with 8-foot-tall chain link; asphalt areas were treated with seal coating.

Newport Harbor: Installed sports cameras to record games in gyms and on football and soccer fields; installed new audio and video equipment, new video projector, and new sound system in theater; added waterproofing to roof and interior drywall.

TeWinkle: Completed asphalt replacement in the parking lots and blacktop areas; added new fencing and gates in lunch area; poured concrete pad and installed new storage containers.

OTHER DISTRICT FACILITIES

BESST Center: Completed asphalt maintenance (added seal coat and replaced striping).

Harper Assessment Center: Installed new carpet and vinyl plank flooring throughout; repainted building exteriors.

Lindbergh: Installed new carpet and vinyl plank flooring; replaced ceiling tiles in Buildings E, F, G, and H.

Waldorf School: Poured concrete pads for installation of storage containers.
