Karen Kendall Welcome Center (Enrollment)

The Karen Kendall Welcome Center’s fundamental purpose is to provide quality service to our families and ensure a smooth and efficient process for pre-enrollment and change of address.

Enrollment for 2021-2022 is scheduled to open in early May, 2021. Please continue to check this website for updates on enrollment for the next school year.

IF YOU WISH TO ENROLL YOUR CHILD IN THE DISTRICT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

Families that have left the District since the start of the Pandemic (March 13, 2020 or after) may be eligible for expedited registration and enrollment but will need to meet updated vaccination requirements.

State and local pandemic mitigation practices are still in place at all schools throughout the District. These practices may limit capacity at elementary schools. Students unable to be accommodated at their home school due to capacity limits will be offered enrollment at another school within the District.

IF YOU STILL WISH TO ENROLL YOUR STUDENT FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW:

  • Submit all required documents. Missing documents will delay the process for change of address requests  and/or pre-enrollment requests.

  • For safety and privacy, do not email documents.
  • Since some email services block our automated message, we strongly recommend adding abi@nmusd.us to your Safe Sender list or Contacts.
  • To avoid technical problems, we recommend the use of Google Chrome as a browser.
