World of Wonders

The World of Wonders curriculum provides developmentally appropriate instruction in all areas of development with an emphasis on language and literacy. The World of Wonders aligns with the Wonders curriculum used in all of our kindergarten classrooms and will help prepare our preschool students for the high standards of kindergarten.

Bridges Math Pre-K

The Bridges Math Pre-K curriculum focuses on developing students' deep understanding of mathematical concepts, proficiency with key skills, and ability to solve complex and novel problems. It blends direct instruction, structured investigations, and open exploration.

Handwriting without Tears

Handwriting without Tears "Get Set for School" is a flexible, play-based curriculum that offers a full pre-writing program and materials that build critical skills like early math and literacy. It includes three programs designed to prepare children for school: Readiness and Writing. Language and Literacy, and Numbers and Math.

Second Step

The Second Step Early Learning Program creates a positive and safe learning environment for the whole child. The program brings together social-emotional learning, executive function, self-regulation, and child safety to foster a safe and supported learning environment for all.

The Center on the Social-Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) Strategies

The Center on the Social-Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL), at Vanderbilt University, is focused on promoting the social-emotional development and school readiness of young children, birth to age 5 with research-based strategies. All of our N-MUSD Preschool Teachers have been trained in CSEFEL strategies for preschool classrooms. These strategies address: Building Relationships and Creating Supportive Preschool Classroo Environments; Embedding Opportunities to Build Friendships into Daily Routines; Using Children's Literature to Support Social-Emotional Development; Helping Children Learn to Share; Helping Young Children Control Anger and Handle Disappointments; and Observing and Addressing Challenging Behaviors.
